Welcome

Advent is based in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park on the west coast of Wales. The work of Advent is to proclaim that Jesus Christ is alive today and to join with others in preparing the way for him to return to this earth just as he said he would at the end of this age. The signs around us at this time tie up very closely with those that Jesus said would be present at the time of his second coming. He is now "right at the door".

The work initially began with selling Christian books from local market stalls but now the main thrust is networking with other believers in Wales and beyond to bring in God's Kingdom through intercessory prayer. One place where this can be achieved is "Hafan" in Tywyn which is a designated place of prayer as well as being a high street shop with a café.

The word of God says "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Surely this land is in desperate need today and our only hope is for the people of God to seek him with all their heart and call on his name.
